Recently my oldest skinny pig Walnut (about 4 years old) has developed quite a bit of loose skin around his stomach and between his front legs. I think he may have lost weight and this is the reason for the sudden jiggy belly, but I'm not sure.
If you think your boy has lost weight, he needs to be seen by a vet and you may need to step in with syringe feeing.
Do you weigh him weekly? If not, please start to do so although you should start weighing him daily for the time being to see if he’s losing weight and at what rate
Any reduction in hay intake will cause weight loss and once the loss is 50g or more then it is of concern. Please do switch to daily weight checks which will enable you to step in with syringe feeding and monitor that he is getting enough in a 24 hour period, which will prevent further weight loss. Please do see a vet.
