Hi! I recently adopted a sweet 6w old little girl skinny. I was told she was in the "healing" stage of ringworm. I've continue the treatments given to me for her by previous owner/breeder. But i was curious if anyone has photos showing what the healing truly looks like. I've had piggies for 5 years and have never dealt with ringworm before her.

I have not introduced her to our herd to keep
it from spreading to others. I was my hands frequently and after any contact I have with her.

Hi and welcome. I'm sorry your new baby has had ringworm. This is the forum guide to Ringworm, which has all the necessary info in how to treat it and how to look after your piggy and everything else to avoid spreading it, including photos I believe
Ringworm hygiene care and pictures

I'm not a health expert, but i do believe that a decent standard rescue would not adopt out, or shops sell, a piggy that had not had all the treatments and been confirmed clear of ringworm. The spores can hang around in the coat after the skin patches are healed and start it up again, a bath is I think usually recommended to remove them. (Not sure about skinny pigs though)
6 weeks is about the youngest age to adopt out/sell a baby guinea, she must have caught the ringworm very soon after birth too. Babies can't always have the same meds as adults, what have you been given for her?

Hi and welcome

Please have a look at our comprehensive ringworm guide, which details treatment, including all the necessary hygiene measures to prevent a comeback and which also contains in the last chapter pictures that show how an acute outbreak of a ringworm spot runs its due course (including the end of the acute phase and recovery).
