Hello!

I am a new member here and really excited to find this community.
I have 2 skinny pigs. Pinky and Nas.

I noticed that Pinky has these red bumps that appear on his back, in the same spot. One at a time. I'll dab coconut oil on it once or twice, and it goes away in a couple days. Pinky has always needed more attention when it comes to his skin, you know, scratches himself here and there, or his wooden hut thing will get him, so I figured this "skin thing" is not out of the ordinary, he has sensitive skin.
However, I noticed Nas has a little red bump on his back now, the diameter of a #2 pencil eraser.
It's definitely not a scab, it looks softer, not as raised as a bump or cyst. But it has gotten a little bigger since he got it, three days ago. It does grow too much bigger but I'll put it this way, its not getting any smaller.

He has been eating fine, playing fine, but he has been very itchy. Biting his skin often and scratching.
At the moment, Pinky does not have a little red patch on his back.

I don't usually coconut bathe them, I think I do it 2-4 times a year.

A month or two ago new neighbors moved into the apt unit next door and we had a week long fly infestation. I quickly got rid of them within a few days, but I was paranoid they would effect my guins. I kept a really close eye on them during that period. They don't have hair, so there wasn't anything crazy obvious that I could see at least.

Obviously I have made both of them a vet appointment. But as far as experience, I am gathering it could be mites. I was so thankful to see another person post on here, describing the exact same situation as this one^^ But I believe the post was short, and from 2020.

Anyone got anything?

Hello and welcome to the forum. You are doing the right thing by taking them to the vets. Most skin issues are easily fixed and they should be feeling better soon. Good luck at the vets.
