A couple of months ago I adopted a 2yr old skinny pig off of somebody and just recently noticed that the little hair he has on his nose has disappeared…the skin underneath isn’t dry or red and there isn’t any sign of mites or ringworm, nor does he seem to scratch his face an unusual amount. I can’t find any info about skinny pigs losing hair online, most sites just talk about guinea pigs who have hair to begin with lol.
I’m worried that there is something wrong with him that I can’t see and would appreciate some advice. He seems to eat and drink fine, he eats his hay and veggies and pellets with what seems like no problem. I worry that he may be too skinny but I’m unsure if that’s just because he’s hairless, I weighed him today and he weighs 945g which is a healthy weight but back on Dec 10th I made note that he weighed 1023g so I’m unsure whether that kind of weight loss is normal or something to be concerned about. I’m going to start weighing him weekly to see whether he continues to lose weight or whether this is just a fluctuation.
I have two other female guinea pigs that I’ve never had problems with but I feel like I’m always fussing over my skinny pig and I don’t know whether I’m just worried over nothing haha. I would appreciate any help or advice anyone has to offer!
(I added two photos below, the first is from Dec 3rd and the second is from this morning- note that the lighting is different so that’s why he looks a little washed out lol)

Welcome to the forum, what a handsome little chap he is. I don't have any experience with skinny pigs but others on here do, I'm sure they will be along later with advice.
There are some links worth reading but I'm too much of a tech dinosaur to mark them for you.
