I have a 7 week old baby boar who has just been bonded with my older boar and I have a question about his ears.

I am aware that guinea pigs have matching bald spots behind their ears, and bald ears, as I believe this is how they can regulate their temperature (?).
I am also aware of different skin pigmentations but I am weary of his as I have not seen anything like this before.

He has two different coloured ears and three different colours of fur, is it very viable that he just has a little different skin pigmentation?
He has white skin on the white ear but with no black marks, his right ear (the one I am questioning) is also a little deeper than the other, if that means anything.

I am just wondering if it is cause for concern as I am taking them both for a check up early next week, because I do not want to scare him to death considering I picked him up Saturday, but I am willing to go earlier if his ear looks any abnormal.

Hi

These look like normal skin markings for that type of ginger hair to me?

Great, I was just worried because they were little black spots, and also because it was only consistent on one ear. (I have also never had a ginger pig)

My Willows (ginger and white) ears are exactly the same. I think it's just how they are.
