So today I was stroking David and felt some strange lumps on his skin. I looked underneath his fur and saw these weird scratch-like lines which kind f crusty and yellowish and saw one on kipper yesterday which isn't as bad but thought it was just a bite. Kind of u -shaped. I don't think it's urgent as they are both acting completely themeselve s, really happy. Checked Nutkn, but I don't think he has but might be his fluuf covering it up. they were kind of brown-ish a s well

:agr:

We cannot tell you what is exactly going on based on your own interpretation. Please see a vet so you can then treat correctly with proper vet grade products and get on top of the problem once and for all.

It turns out they WERE bites. Davids got infected so we clean it with stuff every day thanks for info

If they are fighting and biting each other enough to break the skin that is very concerning.
Please do read the bonds in trouble guide i linked in to work out the functionality of their relationship

they are all most 7 months and yes i am reading it.
David was born on 7/12/20
Kipper was born on 2/12/20

thank you and i will try this. Should divider be c&c or cardboard also David seems happy so should I try this? Thanks again

If they are biting each other enough to cause injuries and actually fighting (not dominance behaviours), then I would be concerned things are tense between them but you are the one best placed to know what is actually going on.
If you are going to try a trial separation, then the divider needs to be grids, something they can’t break through.

What do you do after that?

The guide explains how to carry out a neutral territory reintroduction to see what happens. If they have calmed down and rebond without any further problems, then they want to be together. It may have been a hormone spike (and at around six months is when hormones reach their highest levels) that had them both riled up, and they may be fine together going forward. If upon reintroduction they fight and bite each other again, then their bond is broken and they need to be separated permamently.

David is happy right now. He is a bit confused about the water bottle being different Thanks again for everythingIMG_20210625_162017.webp

Thank you so much!
