Hello,

I was giving my guinea pigs a bath this morning and one of my boys has a little reddish part in his fur. I’m not sure if it’s a scab or dry skin or if it could be something else.

I am quite a new guinea pig owner so this is my first time seeing something like this on my guinea pigs.

This is my first time on this forum so I am unsure how to add a photo to show, could someone please help me?

Please see a vet for any concerns.

Bathing should not be done unless there is a medical need to do so ie following the end of treatment for ringworm. It’s not good for their skin to be bathed.
