Hi I have attached some pics of my 8 month old Abyssinian Simba who has this in the middle of one of his rosettes. I took him to the local vets last weekend who were clueless and said it could be mites but I got a message on Monday to say that the medication was unavailable. Things then improved so I left it. The cut got a little better but I’ve seen this this morning. What on earth could this be? I have some Isaderm gel In my drawer and will make the hour drive to the exotic in the week but what do you think it looks like?
Thanks

It could be mites as he may be biting himself because he is itching. It may also be a bite from a cage mate? I’d definitely get him seen by the vet again and the correct treatment given. Hopefully it will clear up in no time.
