I got fed up of leaky water bottles so bought a Ferplast sippy bottle to try out. My problem is that my piggies are just ignoring it. I have left their old bottle in the cage (next to the new one) so that they have a choice.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get them to try it?

Are the sippy ones the type that budgies also use?

Not sure I have never seen the one for budgies. The guys at The Guinea Collected Boarding use them for their piggies but they are on holiday so I can't contact them at the moment for advice.

I think maybe because the water isn't leaking out they don't realise it Is a water bottle.

DSCI1095.webpl use these for all mine, they find them easy to drink from. their so easy to fill and clean. l keep gravel trays under them. if the spout leaks it's easy to replace it. and outdoors they have a big shallow dish.

@YvonneBlue try hand feeding them water by holding the bottle and taking the spout near their mouth. I then attach the bottles to the cage once they get used to taking water from them. Mine have all taken to sippy bottles even after using the usual plastic ones previously. I like the sippy bottles but even some of these have dripped making the bottom of the run wet!
