I am going to be getting 2 young guinea pigs in a few weeks and want to have the cage ready and waiting. Should I get one layer 120 cms, 2 tiers of 100 cms or 3 tiers of 80 cms? I want to have a lid, as I will be having a foster child and it feels safer (for the pigs) that way. c & c cages look great but getting a lid adds on another £30! Thanks.

Lots of levels don't count as floor space for Guinea pigs. So personally I would go for a single level. And if opting for a 120 cage I would only either get a pair of sows or a sow and neutered boar. As I feel 120 cages are too small for a pair of boars.

Zoo plus are quite cheap for their cages. And delivery is fast. I got a 120 cage for about £40 (not a brand name cage but still good.) and a high hight so you could add a shelf.

Whatever one fits in your space. The bigger the better. I had the skyline maxi Xxl cage as a temporary cage till I built my c&c. It was good.
Oh okay. That one is only 120cms. Might get that to start with then.

You can get 140 cages that you could put on a stand.I've just bought a 154X78 cage on stand. Was 123 quid but exactly what I wanted.
