shredded paper for bedding

someone i know works in a office and they are always shredding the paper and she got me aload of white shredded paper but it has got ink on it is that ok i now your not ment to use newspaper for bedding just wonder if i can use this

got wires crossed i use newspaper and hay for bedding its the ink from printers that is poisonious isnt it i think read some where or is it if you got magazines and shredded them that poisonous

I use shredded paper under fleece (in newspaper sandwich!). It gives a bit more absorbency and means I can get an extra day beffore changing the litter.

If you wanted to use shredded paper as bedding instead of woodchips or fleece, you would have to ensure it is free of staples. I know mine is because I do it myself but if it comes from an office, you can't be sure, so I wouldn't use it as TOP bedding. But I would say it is fine if covered.
