I have finally had Tiger (boar) neutered and introduced him back in with his mum, sister and another female piggie.
I am well aware that there is often a bit of readjusting necessary and that they'll display dominance etc - but I put them all together three weeks ago now and I still don't feel they've all bonded properly. There has been no blood drawn, but Lola (female who is not related to him) seems quite annoyed by Tigers presence and teeth chatters at him and occasionally lunges at him too if he ventures too far out of his little house.
They're in a very large cage with plenty of different food bowls and hides so he's still managing to do everything he needs to do - but I feel so bad watching him continuallly getting chased back into his house and chattered at
While they were separated they were all able to see each other (Tiger had a mesh wall between him and the girls,) so I wasn't envisaging a very bad introduction - but I have a feeling its not going too well...
How long can all this go on for? Any thoughts?
