My boys will be coming up to a year old soon, and they have been seperated for several months.
Ollie seems happier on his own, and he's never realy been a social pig anyway. But Elliot is bored with nobody to domiate. rolleyes

Should I think about finding a baby boar friend for Elliot at least?

You could do, I'd recommend getting a younger boar who hasn't hit puberty yet. Or you could look for a spayed sow?

If it's not broke, I wouldn't try to mend it!

Adding a third boar to the mix can end up with three single boars in the worst case. Have you got the space to accommodate them if that happens or if you have to separate one boar? You can as easily end up with a new boar making friend with Ollie and Elliot still being alone. A baby boar will also go through his hormonal stage and can cause trouble later on.

These are considerations you need to think thoroughly through before you make a decision.

They are two single boars :)

If you do decide to get a boar, you have to think about what you will do if they fallout because it can happen as you know.

Were would the boar go?

When I got a baby boar for my Fred they fellout and Marvin was rehomed thinking back I wish I would have did things different but at the time it was the best thing to do and most heart breaking.

I don't know much about boar relations, but can say with utmost certainty that a male female pairing is a fabulous thing. What do you think about a spayed sow rather than another boar, or neutering Ollie (if it's possible) so he can share his sexy body (and hair) with a lady?

Be prepared for worst case scenario.
we had a pair of boys who fell out, so we got them each a baby boy. unfortunately these pairings also broke up when the little ones hit puberty, so we now have 4 boys in 4 cages mallethead 2 are side by side, and can be safely held on the lap together, the other 2 (having been brilliantly bonded until Junior was 7m old) will try and rip each other to shreds as quick as look at each other.
they are not nicknamed 'the cumbrian fighting boars' for no reason ! :x

so if anyone knows of 4 spayed sows, bagsy i first !
