For about a week I’ve noticed a strange smell coming from my cage. I’ve cleaned it more but it’s not going away. I was looking for diarrhea spots and I couldn’t find many, I ended up finding a few discolored spots that looked a little reddish? At first I thought it was from their peppers but idk. My guinea pig vet does walk ins and I’m not sure what I even set up an appointment for? They are pretty old but I don’t know what’s wrong
 
If you are at all concerned then our advice would be to switch from the routine weekly weight checks and to instead weigh them daily: that gives you a more accurate view of hay intake. Any weight loss can mean there is something wrong with them.

If you are at all concerned then definitely do see a vet
