A friend of mine was asking about his pig, Gus, who doesn't like to eat hard food and treats. He was wondering if his front teeth seemed too long. I don't think the bottom are too long, but the top ones seem pretty short, and the gum seems to be poking through in the middle which can't be comfortable. He's still eating hay and pellets normally. Here's the pictures he sent of Gus's teeth. Any feedback about this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much! They ended up taking him to the vet and apparently his top teeth are broken and they've put him on pain meds. I don't have a lot of details but if anything else happens I'll make sure to update.

They certainly don’t look broken! I wonder if the vet thinks they should be the same length as the bottom incisors, which isn't the case at all! Lots of vets have no idea what guinea pig teeth should look like!

I was wondering that myself. I suppose we'll see if Gus wants to eat harder foods while on the pain meds. Since he's not my pig I don't know the full situation, and I can't make the call on whether or not he seems to be in pain or if he's not eating normally. Thanks for your help!
