Shelly arrived at TEAS last weekend! She’s been surrendered to us, as she has dreadful dental disease and her loving owner couldn’t access the treatment Shelly needs. Simon saw Shelly within hours of her arriving and her mouth was such a mess! Her teeth had cut into the soft tissue and her jaw wouldn’t move, due to the amount of tooth overgrowth. Her jaw was pushed to the side! Simon filed her teeth, as best he could, with so much trauma in her mouth. Over this week Shelly has started to make excellent progress and although she still needs almost 100% syringe feeding, her mouth is much less painful and she takes her syringe food really well now. She will see Simon again tomorrow. She’s 7 1/2 months old and currently weighs 400g. However, that’s 40g more than she weighed a week ago! CBDE7941-E8AA-49A6-8FBD-D3191CC1B153.webp

Such a brave and beautiful girl Shelley is. Hats off to the owner who surrendered her, I’m sure that must have been hard for her. Hopefully she will keep improving 😍

We really hope that Shelly continues to improve. She seems to have a real will to live. Fingers crossed that Simon can work his magic for her. xx

She’s so beautiful.
With your care and Simon’s skill she has the best chance.
I do feel for her previous owner who put Shelley’s needs first.

Poor little piggy having to live with such pain, her previous slave must have been so worried about her. She is such a pretty piggy . I know she will get the treatment she needs now.

Hope all goes well for Shelly today when she visits Simon. xx

Thanks! I really hope he can see an improvement! I definitely think her mouth is less sore. A week ago I was having to feed 2 mls of syringe food and then wait 10 mins before she could take any more. So far today she’s had 48mls. I would just like to see her manage to eat better for herself. I think once she can, she’ll come on in leaps and bounds xx

Hope Shelley gets on ok with her visit to Simon - she’s doing so well 🥰

Shelly has been to see uncle Simon and things are definitely moving in the right direction! Her mouth is less ulcerated, her incisors are growing back nicely and she’s gained 60g in weight, since seeing Simon on the 18th February! Simon has filed her teeth again and he says they’re now looking fairly normal! He’s not surprised that she’s still needing full syringe feeding, as the amount of ulceration in her mouth was so severe and still needs to heal further! However, so far so good! She’s seeing him again on the 8th March! ❤️B6F12195-ED23-4613-89B9-6AD0FDDE2680.webp

That’s brilliant news. She’s a little stunner 😍
