i really need some advice from people who keep their piggies housed in sheds.. we’ve now managed to insulate out piggie shed with the silver bubble wrap insulation and it’s definitely keeping it at least 2 degrees warmer inside than outside at nighttime as it starts to cool down. however its a 18 degree day today according to my phones weather (thermometer outside saying 24) and the shed has the door fully open yet is reading 24ish degrees inside too! when i come out i don’t feel as though the shed is that hot but i could be wrong! i thought insulation was supposed to work both ways and now i’m really worried its going to make it too hot in here for my girls. we don’t have the room to house them inside and the whole reason for the shed was to protect them from the weather / predators so moving the hutch outside isn’t really an option either. how do you keep your sheds cool in warm weather? is leaving the door open whats making it retain the heat? should i be shutting the door with window flap up on hot days to help keep it cool inside and stop the warm air getting in? i’m going to try both and see which helps keep it the coolest but thought id ask incase anyone knew! i’m at a dead end with what i should do and need any advice please as starting to worry!
