Shed project for Pepe and his new girl

The shed has had a make-over in preparation for Pepe and his new (hopefully) wife 'Darling'
This is all new for me a) I have never had a girlie piggie, my house is taken over by boars. and b) my pigs have always lived indoors.

So Pepe arrived in 2010 as a barc foster pig who quickly bonded with my boy Minty. So obviously I kept him. A year or so later Pepe was getting very bullyish with Minty. Minty was always seemed to be on edge and started with his skin flare ups.
To cut a long story short Pepe ended up on his own, Minty finding a friend in Finlay.

After lots of thought, trial boar bonding and realising Pepe's nature was very annoying to other male piggies it was decided to have him neutered.

So the shed projct got started in preparation for his female friend a young girl that was seized by the RSPCA and taken to barc to rehome. She has been on pregnancy watch living on her own so I hope she relishes her new friend when the time comes to bond them.

My Shed

Door insulated

And finally boarded

Mesh has been installed at the window and a mesh inner door is being prepared too.

The couple are to live side by side for a week until Pepe has served his 6 weeks post op.
I picked her up from barc today, will post more photos once she's settled in.

I am so very excited for the pair of them

The shed is looking great, cant wait to see it when its finished and ready.

Darling is really beautiful, she looks like a cheeky one, i reackon she'll really sort pepe out and keep him in line, she is really lovely, i love her colouring x)

Inside the shed.


Pepe & Darling's temporary cage until bonded.
Note the pink grids on request of Darling our little pink princess
Fleecey bed pads, vetbed and doggy hay beds.
A couple of grids bent to make tunnels.

Also fully installed climate control radiator for chillier nights... and soon to be days.
And the radio tuned into to 'Wheeky Local Radio'

Once the middle grids are down pending bonding next week I'll make a correx base.. Also more to come... pics to follow next week

They were from JTF wholesale and were really cheap. I only bought them because they were a bargain, but they havent been put to much used having lots of macho boys until now

I hope they are very happy there in the posh shed. Pepe already seems so much calmer in the presence of his lady.
