I am looking into buying a shed for guinea pigs. I already have 2 boys but they are inside guinea pigs. I would like quite a few guinea pigs that can run freely in a shed or play house. Can any one give me any ideas which is best and any pics would be great of your set ups! I know I will have to have some sort of heat in the winter.
Thanks Mary x

I would go for the shed... You can stand up in it whilst you are cleaning out which is a bonus!

I have a wendyhouse and hate it as I'm always crouching down to clean it out and my bakc aches!

I have walk in dog kennel runs shed bit and an outer roofed stand in run, they are for my buns and are 12 x 6 they are very easy but expensive. I also have various playhouses. I'm only little so getting in the playhouses isnt a problem for me, ok I can fully stand but hey. See if you can get a bargain on Ebay :)) Good luck :o

LOL! Wouldnt think that they would mind how tall it is! If I had a shed there wouldnt be much light getting in? Do you keep them in there in the winter and if so what heating do you use?

They were out over the winter - they have rubber matting on the floor, and lots of wooden hidey houses filled with straw - lots and lots of bedding and tarpaulin over the whole thing. They all snuggle together in there and are quite cosy and happy! There are rabbit hutches either side and it is next to the house with the fence at the back so all in all pretty well insulated.

We are going to add some more insulation inside it this year ready for next winter.
