Shed has been ordered....

Looks like a fab shed! dont worry about all the threads, your excitement is catching and makes me happy too.:))

Wow, I thought I'd spent a lot on mine lol! We added the topcoat ourselves to save some money, but it was a bit of a tedious job.

I see it's the same manufacturer as ours, if so they will probably deliver quicker than the estimate. Though I don't know how the top coat addition will affect that.

How are you going to use it? Are your piggies going to free-range in it like mine?

we only ordered the top coat because if it takes 2-3 weeks catching a good day to paint it on will be hit and miss now I think with this lovely UK weather! inbreeding otherwise we would have done it ourselves, I guess it also saves my hubster a job!lol but had it been early summer we would have saved our pennies ...:p
Hope it does come fast :) I would love to free range but I want another set of boars so can't fully do that :red I am not entirely sure how I am going to go about it yet we have lots of ideas :) if we rescue a rabbit too then can't free range the guineas either, but hubby is thinking he may build a table or shelf all the way around the shed on all walls except where the doors are, 2 CC cages wide with a divider in the middle so I can have 2 sets of boys approx 7-8 CC long by 2 wide each, with vet bed toys and a hay corner.... maybe a couple of bunnies free ranging below? all just thoughts at the minute and all depends if we find the right animals to join our growing family -c
I went for this shed also as the windows are on the side 2 opening ones ...as my hubby pointed out I won't be able to smash the windows when throwing toys for the dogs :))

anyway I am open to ideas on lay out and stuff :)

You've got some really nice ideas there, I'm looking forward to seeing what you finally do with it. :)

I saw a youtube video where someone did a C&C style arrangement around the walls of their shed. It looked really nice, they had plenty of storage underneath and the piggies were easy to clean out because of how high they are. As much as I love my girls running around on the floor, it's hard work bending down to clean up all the bedding lol.

We were very lucky in that we had an entire week of sunshine while the shed was painted and assembled. That's not something that happens very often here in the UK! :))

I wanted a shed with door and window at the front as it is bordered by an oil tank and another shed on the sides, so the windows would have been blocked off. I think it makes it look less like a shed and more like a summerhouse too lol. I wouldn't be surprised if my toddler decides to lob something at the window one day though! :)) The nice thing about both the sheds we've got is that you can put the window(s) anywhere you want. We could have had ours at the side or even at the back (if we'd wanted to look at a hedge lol).

I expect you've probably searched the forums here and seen some useful threads with examples in, but here's my collection of bookmarked links if you want to take a look, I was inspired by all of them in some way:
