few Questions id like to ask please ...

1-They dont seem to drink any water ? they are having their veggies which has some water in but is this enough? i wonder if they know where the bottle is ..ive even put 2 bottles in the cage

2-They havent been use to being handled which we hope to change. When i get hold of them i wrap them up in a towel and give cuddles letting them smell my hands, reassuring I'm not going to harm them . Also when they are in their run ( hexagonal cage) we sit in with them ( its huge by the way )so they wander around sniffing us, offering treats for them out of our hands.

So when i get them out of their cage or run its quite a chase, they just run away. i dont want to frighten them ... Should i persist with this or will this make them more scared of us ?

3 - They have an indoor cage, at the moment its in our front room . So they can get use to us & our noises ! Everytime we walk in the room they run away or just freeze...is this something that will come with time ?

Hopefully all the above will resolve once they are settled but i just wondered if theres anything else we can do to help them over come this ?

Aww they are gorgeous!

It is normal for new piggies not to drink water. They seem to only drink it once they are settled in and feel safe. They are getting vegetables so will get water out of that.

Guinea pig will run away when you want to hold them as they are prey animals. I would carry on holding them everyday as it is the only way they will get used to it. You are doing all the right things there.

Once they are used to you they will stop running away every time they hear you walk past. Do not forget that as prey animals they are always timid as in the wild they have so many predators. Your little ones will get used to you and soon be wheeking at you for food each time you open the fridge!:(|)
