Beaver

I have recently adopted two girls but this is a question about Beaver my latest addition to the family. She is probably no more than two months old, very quiet and will hardly move in her cage. She is a little more outgoing when I give her cuddles and will sniff around a bit. She loves being petted the most and will purr at me. But when she is a lone she is very quiet, sometimes in the morning I have to check to make sure she has eaten and moved at all! she seems healthy, I am pretty certain she is pregnant but in the early stages so I can't put her in with Sinae yet as Sinae is about to go into labor any day now.

Beaver is a piggy from a petstore and I found her being chased by boys as they hadn't been seperated. Should I be concerned that she is depressed? it takes her awhile to work out what food is to eat but then she'll chomp on it happily enough. I just want to make sure she is settling in as she's only been with me 2 days now.

To be honest your title hits the nail on the head :) she just needs to adjust to her new surroundings.

well thats good at least
is there an average on how long this takes? my boys have never
had a problem with settling in, I've never had girl piggies before

Afraid there is no designated settling period, they all have their own personalities and fear levels. In time when she gets used to all the sounds of your home and can be with your other female she should come out of her shell a little more.

Just an update on Beaver settling in
she's finally found her feet and is chirpy and eating well
She talked to me and purred happily when I cuddled her
and am so hoping when Sinae is better I can have them
bonded as a female pair. So I'm glad she's finally feeling
at home
