Settling In Time Before Free Range

Hello, I was wondering how long I should give my piggies to settle in before I present free range out of their cage to them as a fun activity to partake in. I was planning on giving them a fair bit of time to get used to their new surroundings first, but as they're my first ones I'm not really sure what the usual timescale advice is?

I have no idea if there is a 'right' length of time, but I must have had mine 2 or 3 months before I really let them loose in the dining room. They had mini floor time with mine and my OH's legs as barriers so we formed an odd kinda square around their pen door before we were brave enough to go whole-room!

I forgot they were out this afternoon and they were snoozing/scampering around the dining room for 2 1/2 hours!
