Hi, i got my 4 new piggies from the RSPCA yesturday 4 females - 3 rexes and 1 abysinian, who were bought in by an inspector (don't know why). They are in pairs but i hope to put them all together in a little community running free range in a shed eventually. At the moment i have them in separate cages indoor just to check they are all healthy and will get on. They all look under 1 year but one rex looks alot younger and is soooo timid. Its like she had no personality. Shes in wth an older girl who although quiet does move around and eats food whilst having floor time - the other just sits there! I have just put all 4 in the pen together to share some food and the abysinian is a little bit of a bully and does have a go but isn't too bad, but this little rex is petrified and squeaks when she goes near her and has not touched any food. I'm guessing i just have to give her alot of attention to get more cofident - what happens to pigs to become like this? Any advice appreciated, has anyone else had a bully, is she just going to be the leader of the pack?
