only had them a few days there 6 weeks old, been pciking at each other, which i posted about already but some how one has ended up injured, vet thinks he got nudged off the platform in the cage, and has said until he is better needs to be put on his own in a small space, possibley 5 to 7 days, if i seperate them fdor this long will i have trouble gettig them back together, they are **** in same cage i have just had to put a cardboard devide up the middle.

Do you live near to a Wilkinsons or a similar shop? They sell cheap cooling racks for cakes which you could make a barrier with but they will still be able to see each other and interact. Sorry to hear about your piggy :( I saw your other post. I can't comment on reintroducing boys as all mine are with girls.

I'm hoping to reintroduce them tomorow as his legs have improved already vet must be right saying it was some sort of sprain. so if he moving properly tomorow I'm going to try put them back together, minus the platform which he possibly fell off. great idea about cooling rack though, would be better than cardboard which I'm using atm.

I had to separate my first pair (Sam and Snug) for a week or so when Sam had an abscess. So that they would not become too unused to each other, I used to have them out together on my lap every night for an hour. I also used to swap them round each cleaning time so that neither pig got the idea that a particular area was 'his'.
They re-integrated very easily. (They were brothers who had always been happy together, and went on to stay happily together until Snug died)
