Hello. I have three boars. Yesterday, one of my boys bit another on the foot and caused bleeding. It was the first time we’ve dealt with a bite. I have separated the aggressor from my other two and know that those two should not be together anymore. My question is can the dominant boar be with the third boat just for floor time? He has never shown any aggression toward him. It is killing me seeing him look at the other two through the cage.

Sadly you’ve discovered that three boars usually ends in fights and hardly ever works out successfully. It’s very difficult to get the mix of characters right with a trio (or more) of boars, plus the space requires are huge - they need one square metre per boar but even that isn’t usually enough to make them get on with each other.

The separated one can never have physical contact with the other pair again. Please do not put them together for floor time. His cage will need to be kept side by side with the pair for interaction through the bars to prevent loneliness. If he is struggling being alone (even though he can see the others), then taking him dating at a rescue centre to find a character compatible friend is best.

:agr: Couldn’t agree more. I’ve always had paired boars, and sometimes even they don’t work out. Or they work and fall out down the line. 3 never work unfortunately
