Chunk has come back from his holiday and has been bonded with his little brother Monty 😊 they seem happy together and little Monty is gaining weight. However, Chunk has dropped around 100g over the couple of weeks he’s been away. I can only assume it’s down to all the disruption and he has also been on Zithromax for a suspected middle ear infection.
Chunk HATES Critical Care. So I have been giving him two or three feeds of mushed up pellets. He is still eating but obviously not enough at the minute. Has anyone had any success with Recovery Plus?

My lot love Recovery Plus. Make sure you don't get the ordinary Recovery by mistake as it's easily done. If you mix in a bit of mashed banana, grated sweet potato or carrots along with a few oats it goes down even better. Good luck.

Great, thank you! I’ve ordered some of the plus to hopefully arrive before the weekend. He is still eating bits of veg, some hay and grass but he is very boney now and need to get some weight back on him. He is almost down to the weight he was when he was poorly with his abscess 😢 but he seems happy in himself (definitely sassy!) so hopefully we can fatten him up 🤞🏻

Being Sassy is definitely good and so is being happy. He needs more than 2 or 3 feeds of mushed up pellets if his weight is low. I think this thread should be in the Health & Illness section so you can get advice from the H&I experts. @Wiebke, @Lady Kelly @Swissgreys can you move it to the H&I Section please?

So glad he’s bonded with Monty :D
Mine have pretty much all despised CC so I tend to stick to pellets really but the Recovery Plus has gone down well with a couple of my boys in the past. Hope he enjoys and you can get his weight back up soon x

I find emeraid herbivore most popular with the fussy piggies.
