We have two boys that we adore! They each have their own cage and we are having the same issue with both. Their water bottles hang with a covered wire around the bottle. They have nibbled and pulled and the bottle fall constantly. I'm not sure how best to secure the bottles to the horizontal bars of the cages? Any ideas?

I've been known to use 2 paper clips (one at each side )and an elastic band. If you don't unravel the paper clips it's very difficult for the piggies to rattle it enough to shake it loose.

I have used several ways to secure water bottles. I have used string tied tightly round the bottle in several places. The best way I have found is to use bottle springs as they are very versatile and fit round every bottle and onto every cage.
I also am currently using a bike bottle holder attached to the indoor cage so that the bottle sits inside the cage and is lower down for the baby pigs to reach.
Quality Water Bottle Spring Holders X 2 for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs etc. | eBay this is the springs (they do come in bigger pack sizes if you need).

We hang on the outside using the water bottle spring holders. You can get them from ebay and amazon. Or the plastic ones but they can be fiddly to fit.

I use loops of garden wire. But properly threaded through the bars and tied back on themselves rather than simply hooked over.
