Teenage Guinea Pig
Tubs was neutered on Saturday 26th November. While he was exclusively syringe-fed at first, he's recovering somewhat and eating hay, veggies and some pellets (he's losing 5-10g a day, but I'm keeping an eye on that and topping up with syringe feed where necessary). He's on loxicom for pain relief once a day.
When I went to check his wound today, I thought he had a sperm rod poking out of his penis. I gently expressed his penis and then quite a bit of white stuff spilled out of his foreskin. It was pus-like in consistency, but smelt like the inside of his perineal sac . Picture below in the spoiler, excuse the smearing as he was wriggling. It all came out of his penis, the sac was clean beforehand.
What could this white stuff be? How would pus get into his penis post-neuter (unless something went weird with the sperm tubes)? This looked and felt too thick to be boar-glue, though I've never seen fresh glue before. It could be a severe build-up of smegma, but I didn't notice it yesterday...
If it helps, I've noticed over the past couple of days that his calcium deposits on the fleece where he's weeing have gotten far more frequent and one spot was a thick-ish paste this morning (though chalky, no grittiness; is this indicative of a sludgy bladder?). He's squealing a little sometimes when he wees/poos (can't tell which); I don't know if this is possibly due to tenderness around the sac post-neuter.
Can anyone give any guidance on what this might be and whether he needs a vet visit or if it's just his normal stinky self? He's always been terrible at keeping his sac clean, so I guess that might extend to 'down below' as a whole...
