Scruff & Pongo - 2 Lovely Long Haired Boys

A rare picture of Tees Valley Guinea Pig Rescue's 2 long haired boys Scruff & Pongo who came here in August & are still waiting for their forever home.

Don't be put off by maintenance of their long hair. I just use the hairbrush pictured with them & in the last 4 months have only had to cut out 4 small cotters in their hair. They are houses on puppy pads with hay on top & this does help a lot. They are definitely not suitable for keeping on shavings as these just cause damp & matted hair. I only do their hair once a week but ideally when they've been adopted they will get a little more attention x

I hope they do get a forever home soon. I love long haired guinea pigs. I think you build a strong bond because of the time spent grooming them. It's lovely when they relax during the grooming sessions..
Whoever is the lucky person who gets them will have to be very careful about the colour of any vet bed the twosome have to use as they would blend in quite well.
