Hello I’m not sure if I’m in the right place but I have a 1 year old guniea pig that is perfectly fine but this morning I noticed he had a scratch on his nose ( right above his lip ) there was a bit of blood not a lot but I’m not sure if it could be something from his cage , getting into a fight with his brother or something

Hi and welcome

It could be a glancing defence bite from his mate or a misjudged back leg swipe.

How old are your boys and how are they currently interacting?

They are both 1 years old right now they are both eating and playing around and are normal
I thought it could have been mites or ringworms that he had but I also checked the other guniea pig and he’s fine has nothing on him .
I replaced their huts too because I noticed there was a tiny sharp piece on one so I’m assuming too it could be from that and he accidentally cut himself too but I’m not exactly 100% sure it could like you said be from his brother

If they are normal with each other, it is more likely accidental and not the result of any locking into a hut or bullying.

Keep an eye out if there is more development in the coming days - either scratches, bald patches developing around the scratch or boar confrontations/tensions.
