To say the least.

I bought Percy-Roo for the double hutch he now owns, a scratch and newton huch hugger for over the winter expecting for the £70 I paid to get a insulating hutch hugger, with rain/wind protection and to provide warmth during the winter months...

now on the box of the package it shows the hutch hugger and shows a thin strip of silver foil....however after opening the packet I found its just a weatherproof cover and you need to buy the hutch struggler to go underneath (which has the foil bit and fly net)....but thats an extra £60!mallethead

So I'm going to make do with buying my own silver foil from B+Q as I don't want to touch the vet fund money. Grr! I'm not having a good week with buying things :))

Oh dear - and I think I suggested scratch and newton when you were looking a while ago. Sorry. The 'Hugger' is just a waterproof cover and the 'snuggler' is the NASA space material or whatever insulated silver one - struggler might be a better name:). I have the hugger only so far and it does keep the hutch dry. Can you return it or was it a custom job?:{

oh dam i hate it when i think i've bought something and then find that it's not quite what i thought it was...... :(

yup i agree......... i'm sure you can whip up a magnificent hutch snuggly wuggly for the P-Roo x)

cough cough.......is there an adventure story from the boys soon? drool

Hi

I got a one of these included when I bought my two tier hutch (2nd hand off ebay).

I have to agree that they really aren't that great. The velcro straps that are meant to secure the plastic screen over and around the hutch are fairly useless and come undone in the slightest breeze. We stand flowerpots in front of the hutch to keep the cover down.

I also find it hard to get it to cover their bedding area and keep the wind out at night.

I use a thick piece of old carpet over their hutch and night and have the hutch and newton cover over the top - BUT I make sure I lift both at around 7.30pm otherwise it turns into a furnace in there.

See if you can send it back and try to make your own
