Hi. I have 2 pigs both boars and both about 10 months old. They live in separate cages and they are both very happy little pigs. One of them, Flixter, is really cuddly and loves attention he climbs up the cage to get you to lift him out and play with him. Snowball on the other hand is very nervous and when i take him out for a cuddle he just squirms and hides and doesn't seem to like being touched. He will sometimes eat out of your hand but not always. When I take him out i usually just let him run around and i only pet him for small amounts of time.
Do you think hell always be like this or with time he might become more used to me and let me cuddle him and pet him?

it takes some pigs longer than others. only very occasionally you'll find a housepig that doesn't like any attention. but if you feed him nice veggie treats everytime you stroke him and try to limit the amount you pick him up, he'll warm to you.

you don't mention how long you have had the piggies, but piggies are like people they are all different. some piggies love cuddles and others don't.
you may find snowball doesn't like cuddles.
but try when you bring him out wrapping him in a towel so he feels safe.
when in cage talk to them, cuddle time have treats and speak to them.

hey thanks every1. Iv had both of them for about 7 months now. yeah ill try give him lots of treats whenever i hold him. :)
 
Yeap, all piggies have personalities just like humans. Some like cuddles, some don't. xoxo

Most piggies like to live with others, but some don't.

As you have had them for 7 months, then obviously they know you by now, so it could just be his way. Try giving him a little more attention for the next few weeks and see if that helps.

hey guys. Iv been giving snowball some extra attention lately and hes defo warmed up to me. he climbs up his cage when i walk past lookin for some attention! :)) x
