My pig has a really crusty nose and seems to have something brown under the fur and I can work out what it is or what's causing it..

He's eating and behaving normally, I will book a vets appointment in the morning but just wondered if anyone has any ideas or had similar things?:soz:

Thank you in advance :D

Its most likely a fungus. Fungus usually shows up on the nose and face and even the ears. It usually has a scabby/crusty appearance. Most likely the vet will give you a topical treatment. If you have other pigs quarantine the sick one if you can since fungus is highly contagious. Hope this helps. :)

It could be fungal of cheilitis (which I believe is typically a bacterial skin infection around the nose and mouth.) Hopefully the vet can give you an antifungal and/or antibiotic to clear it right up!
