Is it really that hard to say?

OK to really mean it then yeah.......

I've had this on my mind for years now...... - My brother and his girlfriend always say 'love you' to each other and to me it's doesn't have the same effect as 'I love you' or 'love you'.

The same for the 'feeling' of it. You can't FEEL the love when they say it.. Is it me to think that way? Am I daft?

Not saying they don't love each other by any means.

I can and often tell my friends that I love them :) and hubby, well, we say it all the time :smitten: :smitten:

my boyfriend hardly ever says he loves me, it took him ages when we got together to say it like a year..sometimes i need to be told, y'know..we say it every night on txt but thats not the same really is it :(

I know he loves me, just be nice to hear it a bit more often.

I tell my husband and my children I love them every day :smitten: They do to me too!
Nicky xx

I think that different things mean things to people

The pair that say "love you" to eachother prob mean it just as much as someone who says "i love you" but its what works and is comfortable for them.

I tell my piggies every day, more than I do the hubby ;) O0

LOL awwww hun.

I guess it does mean something to them, but you just can't see or feel the connection with them........

I guess as Billies mum says its diffrent to each of us I say to Mick every day when he goes to work ans when we go to bed I LOVE YOU and make it sound meningful he does it back, yet when we was younger he used to say well I'm still here thats means it, which wasn't good enough but he changed when we had problems and he nearly lost me after 16 years of marriage ( mum in law from hell ) now i know he means it, and i do say love you sweet dreams every night i close my sheds up

I tell my mum I love her all the time... I tell everyone in my family I love them too :) because you never know when somthing might happen to them :(
I tell the piggies and the dog I love them too :) lol

I always say to my boyfriend "I love you so much babe x x x' or 'love you lots x' or 'love you loads x x x' or 'I love you x x x'
I ALWAYS but 3 kisses too :) He does it to me too, we always have to have 3 kisses and no more or no less :D

I grew up in a home where I knew I was loved but we never said it. I tell my husband I love him lots although he says I dont and I tell my kids all the time and they say it back too :smitten:

I also tell my friend Ellie who sadly had to move to spain last july 'I love you and miss you' cause I do love her, she's my best friend :D
Seeing her end of june or start of july CAN'T WAIT!

My Mum and Dad have never once told me they love me... they also arent really interested in me, my children or my life! It is Abbies 2nd birthday tommorow and when I invited my parents to her party my mum said "cant come, we go to bingo every sunday"! Abbies party is sunday since she shares her birthday with a friend so is going to the friends party tommorow! Thats why I have brought my children up to know they are loved, I kiss and hug them, in fact I do all the things for them that I never had as a kid. Nicky xx

I try and say it to my OH every day - every night before we go to sleep his kisses me and tells me he loves me :) Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :)

I try and say it to my mum and dad everyday as well, or when I see them. Also always make sure I hug and kiss them - I don't think I have problems showing my emotions, which isn't always a good thing hehe Everyone is different though aren't they :)

My Hubby tells me everyday even if I speak to him at work he always ends with I Love You even in front of work mates

and I tell him I love him don't care who is around :smitten: :smitten:

I tell my boyfriend I love him a lot, but he probably tells me more (like 10 times each day). I told him pretty soon into the relationship I loved him, and I truly believe it was love at first sight.
Sometimes he says it at really stupid times though which is annoying.

With my parents, they never tell me they love me, therefore I don't say it to them either. I think it would feel really uncomfortable to start saying it now.

I tell all my animals I love them everyday, and say goodnight to them too, each in turn (like the Waltons) lol.

I try to do the same, for a similar reason. Having said that, my dad has got more used to being hugged hello or goodbye when we meet.

'Luv you' sounds a bit like 'See you later' in its use.
