Saw something hanging from m guinea pig´s bottom?

Hi,
I´m a first time guinea pig owner, so I´m often really paranoid about the smallest weird things he does, so I have a question for all of you, more experienced owners. Today while I was sitting by my guinea pigs cage, I saw something unusual. He was in a hunched position (like sometimes when he poops), and I noticed that there was something, that looked like it was hanging from his bottom, i guess? I didnt look for too long, because I paniced and picked him up, so I could check from closer. By the time I did that, it wasn´t there anymore. I have no idea what it could be, it reminded me of guts, since it was pink-ish? Is this something to worry about, or am I just paranoid? Thank you for your replies.

I think he may have been scent marking. One of my boys used to do this quite a lot. He would rub his bottom on the floor. There would be a smell too and he would also do it while rumble strutting. Keep an eye on him but it sounds like normal boar behaviour. How long have you had him? How old is he?

Thanks so much for your quick reply, he is one and a half years old, and I´ve had him since he was a baby. It might be scent marking, I didn´t think of that as a possibility at all. I´ll keep an eye on him for a while, and I´ll see, it´s probably nothing to worry about..

Sounds like a penis to me, something pink around his bottom that came out and then disappeared again. Sounds like he was just flashing his bits for whatever reason.
