Yeah dreaded sats are only a month away, not really very well planned, the teachers have hardly covered most of it, (epsically in science were i have dropped 2 levels) i just want 2 say, to anyone else doing your SATs good luck, I'm spending all my holiday covering what the teacher's should of covered, but didnt or still have too. Get your heads in the books and i hope you do well!

My friends daughter will be doing hers this year. She has been staying back at school a couple of nights a week to do extra work towards them. She also seems to have dropped levels from what she achieved last time. Whats happening here?

from wat i heard at my school, they is a shortage of teachers @ my skool so they got sum new ones, its annoying cause the year 7 & 8 i had the best teachers in the science department and this year, i get stuck with someone who cant teach. every single class she has is failing. then she blames us. half the class got level 3's in our moc sats, and we're set 2 so should be getting 5s and 6s

Thats really worrying! :( Just try and do your best at school. Its not easy when you have kids causing chaos in the class but you really should try and learn as much as you can.

Hi

This is nothing new, both my kids had a series of supply teachers and then in GCSE year the science block burnt down,
both of them are now studying sciences at uni (1 Biology and 1 physics).

Its good to hear that some kids can still achieve well in spite of (not because of) the school! :)

They have had to work for the achievment however I am proud of them. Good luck to all those doing SAT'S etc.

Hi, natnat, I hope you have some good revision books, especially for Science. Well done for having the motivation to do your own study this holiday. It will definitely make a difference. My son is doing the year 9 SATS next month too.

When my son first started secondary school we were told that a level 5 in secondary school is harder to achieve than a level 5 in primary school.

Good Luck to all the teachers who have to administer SATS too!

I teach year 2 and my tiny little 7 year olds have SATS this term - I am far more nervous than them thankfully!

Good luck Starshine! :) and your kids. O0 I'm sure they'll do great!

my friend asked me to go out today, but i refused because though my dad let me out i had science and its important for me to go in cause I'm failing, so she goes in a big strop starts being all rude, going "i learned how to climb the ropes at the park." "i would stay off." how unthoughtful for gods sake! all she thinks about is herself and making sure she goes out. if she was a true friend, she understand its important to me, and not let me get in trouble.

Well done to you, Natnat, for resisting the temptation to go out; not easy, I know!
