Sand paper?

Yet another question, sorry!
I have a 3 foot long cardboard tube with my babies love to run through. I was thinking about putting a single sheet of sandpaper near the middle so when they run through it will file their nails a bit. Any reasons why this might not be a good idea?

I wouldn't it can really hurt the bottoms of there feet and the chances there nails will file while just walking over it are slim it will corse more harm than good . If they need cutting and u don't want to do it take them to the vets x

Thanks- think I’ll stick with a rock pile. One of my babies is a climber and loves to get up onto things.

If I can avoid cutting their nails I’d be happier- I would much rather they wore them down naturally than stress them out.

There may be other alternative things but anything u think may be able to be ingested is not a good idea do there little feet are so sensitive

Yes it would be easy for everyone lol . My poor baby's I wrap them likeep burritos except 1 who sits lovely and doesn't mind at all x

This will be their summer home- it was originally a dog run years ago. I’ll be able to add in some rocks and big branches. Very very very lucky as we inherited my FIL’s house and it sits in 16 acres of woodland and meadow. I should start a guinea pig rescue!
