Hello everyone :) recently got my 2 males (homed in a shed) and the person i got my piggies off told me i needed to also have a hutch inside the shed for safety from foxes , even though i’ve 100% safety proofed the shed . i’ve got all my fitted fleece and liners for the whole shed, but now i’m getting told i need to get more for a hutch and more supplies for a hutch as well which will also take up a lot of floor space . i’ve completely safety proofed it from animals , it’s on concrete and has a floor so foxes cannot dig in and there’s no holes for anything to get it and it’s made from sturdy materials nothing could get through without me noticing . do you all think it’s necessary for a hutch or should they be fine with jus the shed?

A fox wont get in a shed if you have covered everything you need to do. Make sure a fox cant dig under and bolt the door firmly

Your piggies will be fine. Just be careful when you open the shed door that they don’t panic and rush outside x do they have a couple of cardboard boxes or cozy’s to hide and sleep in.

yep ! there’s also a guinea pig kind of gate inside the shed so when i open the door there’s still a gate in front . there’s plenty of hideys :)

I don’t think you have any problems then x You just enjoy your lovely piggies x
