Hi all,

When we move (which hopefully should be soon if the vendor approves our offer!) the piggies will have their own room.

I'm planning to set up their c&c cage on the ground and also pig-proof the room for easy floortime, so I just take one grid out and they can potter around.

As the room is first floor, opposite the stairs, I was thinking of a safety gate to make sure there's no escapees and we don't have any tumbles down the stairs.

However, looking on amazon all I've found is the traditional railing style which my Errol would find a way to wiggle through and some fabric ones but I'm concerned they could be nibbled and ripped, leading to a break-out!

Any recommendations?

We don't have other pets and no children so having the pigs floor-based is safe :)

Just a further note - it takes about 10 seconds to put in the doorway or to remove it.

I got a puppy gate so that I can use my hallway for floor time. It doesn't open like a child gate - you either have to step over it or remove it if you want to get through the door - but it works perfectly for our purposes.

Unlike the picture in the listing you can fit it touching the floor and the holes are much smaller than C&C holes so no danger of wriggling through.

That looks good - is it tall? Can you easily step over or is it a case of removing it every time? :)

It's not particularly tall. (Listing says 61cm although I'm not sure whether ours is exactly the same). We can both step over it fairly easily but we both have long legs :D
