We're hopefully finishing putting together the run that'll attach to the hutch today. My father in law was going to use cresote to weather proof the timber...is that safe? I don't know how likely they are to chew out and they do, is that safe or is there a better one?

Not sure creosote would be the best option! Most fence paints are fine. My hutches and runs are painted with cuprinol fence paints and my piggies have nibbled them allwith no ill effect.

the two safe ones are cuprinol garden shades and wilkos own garden shades range. most people choose these. not sure about any others but these have been recommended as safe for a long time! :)

Thank you, I have some cuprinol left over from the shed, I'll use that instead :)
