Safe to use Puppy Pads?

I keep thinking of using puppy pads as they look like a convenient option. But I’m a bit worried they might chew them and either choke on the plastic backing or ingest it and have problems. Has anyone had any issues with them? Also do you cover up the pad or do you just let your gp walk straight on the pads?

Its fine to use puppy pads, but it’s piggy dependent as to whether they will try to chew them - some do, some don’t. I’ve never had problems.
You will need to put something on top of them - a fleece for example

I use puppy pads with wood shavings and hay over the top and never had any problems with chewing

I agree, each piggy is individual and needs to be watched in a chew test, and also giving something else to chew, stick or wicker bridge etc, they prefer that.
