Sad guinea pig?

Hi I lost a guinea in late November and until a week ago my other one was alone. She seemed perfectly fine. She popcorned and just seemed happy but I still wanted to get another piggy so she wouldn’t become depressed. When I introduced the two they were fine but she just doesn’t seem as content as usual . She will sometimes popcorn but most of the time she’s rumble strutting or eating. Is this normal?

They have to sort out the hierarchy both during bonding and also once they move into their home. This can go on for two weeks so just bear with them. Rumble strutting doesn’t mean discontent, it’s just how they behave. Have a read of the links below, and well done on thinking of her well being and getting her a companion.
