Hello

I fell in love with one of my foster pigs (was Mars now Cedric) and decided that I couldn't let him go so we adopted him with Helen and Beckys blessing. We are going to pair him with one of our minipigs (Bertie) when he is old enough, hopefully in a week.

Anyway we are struggling to make him happy. At grass time he either sits in a corner or goes into the tube and stays there for the full time he is out. When out for floor time he sits still and does the same at lap time. Nothing seems to make him happy. He eats well and drinks and shows no sign of aggression just no sign of any emotions really 8...

To entertain him we have tubes and toys in his cage so that he can hide while still having space to toddle about. He is in a place where he can see other pigs so he is not isolated and we spend time with him throughout the day.

I know he will hopefully perk up when he has a new friend but I would like to see him happy now. Any suggestions?

nothing more than GET HIM A FRIEND NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! :))

We are waiting until our baby boar can leave his mum, 7 days and counting!

How lovely that you've fallen in love with him. No advice really. It may just be a case of sitting it out until he can have his new friend with him. :)

When we first got Dave, he didn't move for about 3 weeks! He just sat there, not doing anything. But then he started to come around. Maybe it is the same with Cedric... may just take some time to realise their surroundings and that he isn't going to het hurt.
I think Dave was like that and he was about 8 weeks old because he had lived with rabbits.
I hope Cedric shows his personality soon :) x
And i'm sure it'll come out soon with a new friend on the way! :D

I do hope that he and Bertie get on when they meet!
