Ryedale hutch makers have stopped taking orders at the moment for a good few months due to a back log of orders.

I have just gone to buy a triple deluxe hutch but have been informed that they can not take any orders at the moment which is a bit disappointing but I guess I may have to buy a cheaper one for the time being till they can take orders again, anyone got any ideas ?

Have you seen this thread?

Calling All Hutch Builders

Thank you, the only thing is it says it's local delivery in Yorkshire or courier which would be expensive, ryedale is £12.50 delivery and they are amazing hutches. I will probably wait till they are taking orders and by a cheaper one on the net for now.

Hi Brad, don't know if you saw my post on the thread that PiggyOwner quoted above? I own a new company that make small pet homes, and having started with hamsters, we are branching out into making both indoor and outdoor hutches for guineas and rabbits. If you have a look at my website, and also my bespoke design service, I can make pretty much anything you are looking for. I provide a no obligation quote first, followed by a drawing, before any payment is required.

All I need to know is:-
Size of hutch e.g. 4 foot x 2 foot wide with 1, 2 or 3 levels?
Whether you want them interconnecting via doors/ladders
Whether you want a run enclosure underneath, and the size.

My direct email is [email protected], so feel free to drop me a line - it would be great to hear from you.

It looks like you got a good start to your company congrates, if you look at ryedales website there is one triple hutch on there which is 5ftx6ftx 2ft which looks amazing so I would be wanting something like that, I wouldn't want to be paying a fortune though to get it to me as I am sure I would be paying enough for the hutch of that size.

* congrates that is blooming iPhone

ok cool, thanks Brad. I've already had a look at their hutch, and it does look good quality. I will take another look and think about how I would build it, and a price. The one thing I think could be improved on would be how easy it is to clean, as it looks like the Ryedale hutch would be difficult to clean out the bottom and top levels? Also, appreciate you don't want to spend a lot on delivery, so I can shop around for the best possible price. Just to check, you mean 5 foot long x 6 foot high x 2 foot wide with 3 interconnecting levels? Also, am assuming you want it for guineas rather than rabbits?
If you are genuinely interested, then PM me your email address, and I can send you a quote over the next couple of days.
Kind Regards, Kate

Yes that's the measurements I meant , you are right with the cleaning as my hutches now gave the pull out trays and hinged roof. It will be for guinea pigs, a little fence around the stairs would be good to prevent them falling though levels and side panels on the stairs with poss some felt to aid running up and down.
The ryedale ones I know will last at least 10 years where as the ones you buy from pet shops or some internet sites fall apart after a few months.
