I have one that is similar to that and i put it on my grass in the summer and the boys love it! Its very secure as i peg the bottom bits down and mine opens at the side so you can close it with a latch.

Mine is the same as the picture but without the one wooden side, i have a compartment and then the other bit is chicken wire, if you get what i mean. :)

it looks good, but how much is it? I couldn't find the price :)

Quite pricey £135 for small one! maybe they last well though!:)

eek! lol, a bit price for me. I think my boys will just have to do with their old one! If it lasts well it would be worth the money though.

If you do decide to make one its better to use aviery wire not chicken wire. I believe chicken wire can cause injuries and what pigpig said about the grid underfoot needing to come out - that's right.

I think it depends on your surroundings. If the pigs are gonna be out all the time and need protection from dogs and foxes maybe a sturdy run like that can be good. Otherwise you can find much cheaper options, the cheapest being something like those wire compost bins.

I've ordered one of these (the largest size) because I like that it collapses and can be taken on a bus or train as a holiday cage too :) http://www.canineconcepts.co.uk/item--Trixie-Trun-Puppy-Pen--trun-enclosure---dogs

i got one of those but its smaller than thier cage! i need a big safe run ....

I built my rabbits a 15ftx7ft run - the materials cost about 85 pounds and I had it made within a week. It was easy to make; we just made lots of panels and then screwed them together. It's pretty sturdy too and the two of us can still lift it to move it; fortunately because it's so big, we only have to move it once a week.

I bought the guinea-pigs' 8ftx4ft run (was the rabbits' run), off eBay for 60 pounds; he lived locally so I was able to save on the 16 pounds shipping. Unfortunately the seller is no longer registered.
