Haha welcome to the world of piggies. Your "nutter" piggy is doing what we call zoomies! It's a sign of a happy piggy indeed. Lack of zoomies does not mean the other one is unhappy it's just that piggies personalities vary massively just like in humans

my dexter is a zoomie popcorning crazy boy, but Pops pig isn’t. Amazingly I saw Pops popcorning yesterday, this was the first time I’ve seen it and I have had him for over a year!
Re bedding:. I use a layer of newspaper, some shavings in the areas they go to the toilet and then a thick layer of hay everywhere else. My boys live in a hutch in my shed. Hay is the best type of bedding for outdoor pigs.
If your piggies are indoors, then hay is still fine as a bedding but fleece bedding can also be an alternative. It really just depends on what you and your piggies like.

It sounds like your piggies are very happy.
Our 'baby' (he is actually almost 2 years old) loves to race around and around his cage.
Lucy has never been much of a runner, and although she will sometimes join him she is far more laid back.

Oh hello and welcome. It sounds like whatever you’re doing your piggies are very happy. Well done
Young and happy piggies race round at times - we call this zoomies. And then they do this leaping in the air we call popcorning. As they get older and heavier they do this less often, but it’s a joy to see.

I’m going to give you some links about bedding/flooring. There is no right or wrong choice - just what works for you. Personally I use fleece with puppy pads underneath. But shavings and hay with newspaper underneath are fine. Other folk use cafe fresh and aubiose. It’s worth having a good read up into these and then seeing what you think. There always plenty of folk on here to answer questions.

A Detailed Guide For Fleece Bedding

We have so much useful information on here, but we are lacking one thing at the moment - photos of your fur babies and their names! Please do post photos. We LOVE piggy photos

Try searching for 'carefresh' looks like autocorrect strikes again for VickiA ;)

Have a look at the helpful information in the threads Vicki has linked to.

I use a layer of a few newspapers, covered by very finely shredded paper (approx. An inch thick) & big Piles of hay added. My girls are in a hutch in a shed.
The bedding varies a lot with personal choice and ease of use, once you find something you & the piggies are happy with you're sorted :D

Welcome to the forum & your two sound like they're settling in nicely  zoomies already :luv:
We'd love to see pics of your little ladies :tu: xx

I had a 7 year old boar that did zoomies whilst he had the start of arthiritis, he was a right nutcase lol
