I have found quite a few of them on my 2 new girls :'(
Obviously I need to bathe them and give their cage a thorough clean.

Will I need to do my other 5 as a precaution?

creepy creepy creepy
itch itch itch

i would if they are in the same cage or hutch some one with more knowledge than me will answer soon.

i used gorgeous guineas lice shampoo bath them with that then one week later do it again and the beaties should be gone O0

good luck

not in the same hutch, they're still separate

What's the chances of the lice crawling a couple of foot from cage to cage?

I discovered last week that my new little piggies had arrived with lice. I bathed them in Seleen shampoo from the vets, diluting it well. I couldn't use the shampoo that I have from the petshop as it stated they had to be over 12 weeks of age.

Mine live in a separate hutch to my others but as a precaution I have bought a cheap dustpan and brush to use just for them. 65p from Asda! :o I also make sure that I always wash my hands before touching my others.

The sooner you treat them the better as one of mine already had an open sore from biting at her back where the lice were itching her.

Gorgeous guineas seems to get the thumbs up on here for their shampoo!

I've looked at GG website, but won't be able to buy anything till next week.
I do have a pet shop mite & lice shampoo, I might try a weak solution on them.

No sores or itching that I can see which is good (I hope)

I only got the girls last week :( They are so shy and frightened still. They never come out of their house, I have to remove the house completely to see them and they dart around their cage if I try to pick them up.
I don't think they were handled a great deal before they came to me :'(

I have treated the 2 girls with a little bit of insecticidal shampoo and have also scrubbed their cage with the stuff too.

I can still see lots of lice but they appear to be lifeless.

I plan on bathing the other 5 piggies tomorrow
