What size run would I need for my 2 piggies? I am asking my dad to build me one, I am going to keep it in the conservatory over winter then I can have it on the grass in the warmer months! 8;)

I think with a run it's more a question of how much space have you got? The bigger the better, and bigger than their cage or there's not so much point putting them out in it!

My outdoor run is 2'x5' which is smaller than I'd like, but I needed a Toblerone shaped one as it's more secure from the neighbour's ravening dogs and cats.
My indoor one is about 4'x5.2'. Which is pretty much all the floorspace I have in the living room!

Wow that's a HUGE run.

I have a 4ft by 3ft one, a 6ft by 4ft attached to a hutch outside and a hexagonol (SP) one that needs putting together that I also use inside, not sure on it's dimensions but it's good enough.

Yeah, it's kind of big to the point of being slightly impractical considering the shoe-box sized house we live in. Once it's deployed you have to sort of shuffle sideways between the run and the coffee table. And if you want to put a DVD on you risk getting piggy poos stuck to the bottom of your feet.

They need the space, because like many boars, they are so, so messy!

We recently acquired two more from a friend and now have six in an 8ft x 4ft run; they scoff all of the grass in one day (it looks like a bowling green by the time they've finished), so it's not really big enough. I'll be doubling the run size next Spring. The bigger your run, the less frequently you'll need to move it; which I find can be a pain, as I peg mine down.
