Hello, my two bunnys live in a shed with a cat flap that leads to attached run. My plan is to leave about a foot next to rabbit run, then put guinea pig run attached to a ginea pig shed. Do you think it would be ok to have rabbit run and guinea pig run close together? I thought they would be company together (although i am planning to get 4 rescue piggies) and it seems the best way to fit in that area of garden.-c

I always put my guinea pigs' and rabbits' runs next to each other. They seem to like watching each other and interacting and it makes their lives a little more interesting. There is apparently a bacteria rabbits can pass on to guinea pigs, but if they have a foot between them then they should be fine I'd think. I don't know for sure, but it sounds fine to me. :)

should be fine. bacteria (bordatella) can be passed from cats and dogs aswell as rabbits and people let them near piggies so it should be fine.

when ches and maisie go out, bisc and matt (bunnies) eat grass side by side with the piggies. they all set each other off hopping! :)) piggies are in their run and buns have the run of the garden. (supervised of course!)

Same with my bunnies and piggies, when one of them starts popcorning/binkying then the other lot do too! :) I think they're great company for each other (if in seperate runs of course) :)

Yes it is; any bacterial infection can only spread through contact which they won't have.
